About the Role

As Sr. Strategy & Planning Associate, you will support the ongoing strategic business planning process and governance. You will provide data-based recommendations for decision making on key strategic initiatives that will transform our Central Europe [ CE ] business. Strategy & Planning Associates play an integral role in driving business performance, strategic direction, and insights/intelligence.

What You Will Do

• Strategic Advisory: Serve as a strategic advisor to the Central Europe Delivery leadership team on top-of-mind strategic initiatives, taking ownership of end-to-end problem statements, influencing critical stakeholders, and driving decisions at the highest levels of the organization.
• Planning & Governance: Own & drive governance and planning initiatives for the Central Europe Business, ensuring alignment with regional / global approaches and objectives & ensuring strong representation of the business in critical forums.
• Market Research: Conduct extensive market and industry research to understand macroeconomics, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, driving actionable insights from data and facts.
• Analytical Leadership & Structured Problem Solving: Tackle complex, ambiguous challenges using structured frameworks and first-principles thinking. Apply robust data analysis and business logic to break down problems, identify root causes, turn data into compelling narratives and generate actionable solutions
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with local, regional, and global teams (Operations, Product, Legal, Policy, Finance, Tax, etc.) to design, launch, and execute cross-functional programs aimed at achieving critical business outcomes.
• Zero to One Initiatives: Take top-of-mind strategic initiatives from zero to one, building them from the ground up and guiding them through to successful implementation.
• Stakeholder Influence and Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders, effectively influencing and managing their expectations to ensure alignment and support for strategic initiatives.

Your Background

• 4-5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or consulting.
• Fluent English is essential. German and/or Polish is a big plus.
• A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and excels at tackling unprecedented challenges in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, concise, and practical solutions.
• A high degree of analytical acumen;proficiency in Google Sheets and SQL is a plus.
• Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a compelling and engaging manner.
• High degree of business and financial acumen and skill using analytics to solve problems.
• Genuine interest and fascination with the online food delivery industry and desire to understand each aspect of the marketplace and Uber’s business strategy.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to project management, driving the successful completion of complex programsExceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills, working effectively with diverse stakeholders, including cross-functional business leaders.
