Business Analysts are responsible for analyzing and interpreting data and information to help inform business decisions. They work closely with cross-functional teams, such as finance, marketing, and operations, to understand the specific data needs and provide them with insights to make informed decisions. They also use data visualization tools, such as Tableau and Power BI, to create interactive dashboards and reports to communicate data insights clearly and effectively.
Business Analysts use a variety of techniques, including data analysis, process mapping and gap analysis, to identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions. They use tools such as Excel, SQL and Access to extract, clean, and transform data, and perform data analysis. They also work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions that meet the needs of the business. They also have to be able to explain the data insights to non-technical stakeholders and be able to work with cross-functional teams to understand their specific data needs.
