Investor Relations Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives and enhances its reputation among investors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the investment community, cultivating strong relationships with institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and other key stakeholders.
- Oversee all investor communications, including earnings calls, investor conferences, roadshows, and one-on-one meetings, ensuring consistent and transparent messaging.
- Lead the preparation of investor presentations, press releases, annual reports, and other investor-related materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timeliness.
- Proactively identify and address emerging investor concerns or questions, providing timely and insightful responses.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and best practices in investor relations to continuously improve the function's effectiveness.
Financial Strategy & Business Development
- Play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and executing potential M&A transactions, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives that enhance shareholder value.
- Conduct rigorous financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence to assess the potential benefits and risks of corporate development activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and integration of M&A transactions.
- Monitor capital market trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and threats.
Capital Markets & ESG Expertise
- Maintain a deep understanding of capital markets, including equity and debt financing, to advise on optimal capital structure and allocation strategies.
- Develop and implement an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) communications strategy that effectively conveys the company's commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
- Partner with internal teams to integrate ESG factors into investor relations messaging and reporting.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Build and manage a high-performing investor relations team, providing mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, communications, and operations, to ensure alignment on key messages and initiatives.
- Effectively communicate with and navigate the Board of Directors on investor relations matters, providing timely updates and seeking strategic guidance.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA is strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in investor relations, investment banking, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully leading investor relations functions for publicly traded SaaS companies, with a deep understanding of the SaaS business model, key performance indicators (KPIs), and investor expectations.
- Deep understanding of financial markets, accounting principles, valuation methodologies, and SEC regulations.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial information to diverse audiences, including senior management, investors, and analysts.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and drive consensus across different stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders.
- Experience with ESG reporting and integration is highly desirable.
Base Salary Range:
- NYC Metro: $246,000 - $337,500
