What You'll Do
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Collaborate closely with the finance organization and regional business leaders to develop financial forecasts and goals. Apply business judgment and financial insights to support decision-making.
- Sophisticated Financial Modeling: Build models from scratch, enhance existing ones, and capture business dynamics and interactions to assess trade-offs, propose solutions, and drive better decisions.
- Strategic Thinking and Execution: Use models to inform strategy and decision-making, while also operationalizing insights to support day-to-day execution.
- Monthly Close : Analyze variances between actuals, forecasts, and plans. Leverage insights to refine forecasts and build potential action plans in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Operational Improvement: Optimize planning processes and promote best-in-class financial methodologies across the organization. Partner with accounting to inform management reporting and better understand actuals.
- Innovation: Go beyond traditional forecasting, be creative, adaptive, and eager to develop new technical skills.
- Special Projects: Contribute to new initiatives beyond regular modeling responsibilities, offering broader impact across the business.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics highly preferred
- 3 to 5 years in Investment Banking, Corporate finance, Corporate Development/M&A or operational FP&A role at either a high-growth company or a large, well-established organization
- Strong Financial Modelling skills: standard methodologies are second-nature, your models are efficient, scalable and intuitive
- Excellent communication and people skills: numbers are key, but a business is built with people
- Self-starter: You will take initiative and drive toward goals
- Attention to detail: consistent with swift and high quality execution. We do things quickly, and we need to do them well.
Preferred Qualifications
- Passionate about financial modelling
- Systems: understanding of enterprise-level financial planning systems such as IBM Cognos TM1
- Shown comprehension of US GAAP
- SQL skills: the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective
