Job Description
The Vice President (VP) of Cloud Infrastructure Operations is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the organization's cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cloud infrastructure strategies that align with the organization's business goals and objectives.
- Lead a team of cloud engineers and architects responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of the organization's cloud-based systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement cloud-based solutions that meet their specific needs.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with cloud service providers and other third-party vendors.
- Develop and manage the cloud infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective use of cloud resources.
- Stay current with developments in cloud technologies and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
