Loan Product Manager, AVP, Corporate Banking
Reporting to the Head of Loan Products for the Corporate Bank and Investment Bank, the Loan Product Manager is responsible for supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of a consistent end to end global framework for managing our loan products.
Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for day-to-day maintenance of our loan product inventories and programs, risk rating products and monitoring new product development, addressing stakeholder enquiries as they arise
- Help support a clearly defined governance framework for CB & IB Loans and create and manage the agenda for the Loan Governance Forum and other meetings, including production of meeting materials and minutes
- Support the strategic end to end roadmap for CB & IB lending across the network, reflecting relevant regulatory and management priorities, including data management and instilling appropriate controls
- Partner with CB & IB colleagues, Institutional Credit Management and Operations and Technology in establishing an improved operating model for wholesale lending and loan servicing, including addressing ad hoc escalations and consulting on thematic issues
- Project manage certain transformation and technology initiatives, including the rollout of new credit and workflow systems across Banking, ensuring appropriate execution to meet business needs
- Support the governance and control structure for the CB & IB loan portfolio, to ensure accurate loan booking and reporting, including enhancements to the booking model and capital determinations
- Support issue management and lead corrective actions plans as required by internal audit and other stakeholders, including on topics such as sanctions screening, ESG lending governance, credit risk mitigation and portfolio migrations
- Assist team management through updating of progress reports and relevant knowhow
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of financial services experience in a multi-function, global business.
- Exposure to diverse functional experience (e.g. coverage banking, transaction management, credit risk, product development).
- Experience in corporate lending or product management advantageous.
- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
