Lead continuous compliance research to identify (local) regulation and industry standards to support in ensuring Tesla keeps meeting the requirements.
Support market entries and establish compliance throughout the EMEA Distribution operations.
Work with relevant stakeholders on export licensing determinations and the collection of these licenses.
Coordinate EMEA market logistics & customs documentation requirements per country for all shipments routes, sea/air/road. This translates into retrieving and maintaining export documentation, including license applications, waivers, commodity classifications, and other relevant documents.
Manage the repository to store the information per country or customer.
Monitor shipments and deliveries to ensure adherence to processes.
Support certification and license renewal with potential service providers such as SGS, Intertek, Bureau Verigates, and TuV.
Work with our Master Data team to ensure all required information, especially Country of Origin data, is captured correctly for relevant departments such as Logistics, Trade, Distribution, Material Planning, and local government bodies.
Coordinate initiatives leading to an up-to-date information database tailored to business regions.
Set up and execute internal training and audits to ensure Parts Homologation procedures are continuously updated and kept at the highest standards.
Serve as a general point of contact for consultation, resources, education, auditing, and coordination of product distribution compliance.
Review ERP, WMS, and TMS systems for compliance or information blocks and work with internal customers to resolve these.
Map compliance processes’ current state and close compliance gaps throughout the supply chain and distribution operations.
Support in establishing best methods for spare parts and product homologation activities through internal or external opportunities.
Research process improvements and support day to day logistics operations.
Determine goals and objectives and establish clear metrics to identify key results.
What You’ll Bring
A minimum of 4 years’ experience with compliance programs in automotive or logistics
Knowledge of the EU/Global directives for product conformity and homologation
Experience with Indian import activities and regulations is a must
Understanding of Indian product import compliance requirements is a must
A strong track record in navigating product supply through compliance procedures
Able to effectively communicate compliance information to various levels of non-technical audiences
Ability to maintain confidentiality and to meet strict deadlines
Ability to work with ambiguity and in a fast-paced environment
Dangerous Goods certification is a plus
Experience in Customs Brokerage is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
