What you will do:

  • Strategize and deliver EMEA-wide employee programming (communications and events) across PayPal’s engagement pillars: business, wellness, learning and development, and community.

  • Lead all EMEA regional employee communications, and deliver local site communications across key offices

    (e.g. webpages, Slack, emails, newsletters, posters, digital signage, weekly office gatherings / standups etc.
    )

  • Closely partner with European Markets communications to plan and execute communications and region-wide business focused All Hands.

  • Own the local employee events and engagement program for key offices across EMEA, including planning and execution of initiatives on-site.

  • Advise a team of local communications and engagement partners across the region .and serve as strategic partner in driving the calendars of events for our high priority sites across the EMEA region. This encompasses our site leadership council, local culture communities, cross-functional stakeholder guidance and oversight of execution by on-site team members.

  • Manage the Regional budget and maintain relationships with external vendors.

  • Build and nurture influential partnerships with key business stakeholders both locally and regionally. You will be a connector across all site elements, including Real Estate and facilities, HR, executive leaders, and Employee Resource Groups and Community teams.

  • Bring your knowledge and experience to maintain and build on the Center of Excellence and enablement models for global, regional, and site communications, with guidelines, processes, and reviews, along with customizable templates and materials.

  • Measure the impact of EMEA experiences and communications in driving overall employee engagement using the Employee Comms, Culture & Engagement team’s Impact framework (create employee awareness, drive action, inspire advocacy).

What do you need to bring

  • A minimum of six years of experience in employee communications and engagement or events for a globally dispersed workforce. Prior leadership and team management experience preferred.
  • Strong relationship building skills with ability to influence without direct authority
  • Excellent writer, who can make and articulate complex ideas simply, creatively, and with heart. Creative and engaged in new forms of digital content and communications channels.
  • Experience in planning employee events and programs such as All Hands, Employee Resource Group and Community Impact events, fireside chats, executive visits etc.
  • Passion for driving understanding of business strategy, priorities and building community and sense of belonging among employees.
  • Comfortable and effective in serving as a strategic communications partner to senior leaders; able to confidently offer ideas and negotiate communication plans, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proactive in identifying needs and adopting a solution-oriented mindset to address them.
  • Highly flexible, able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines to execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization.
  • Able to embrace ongoing change, pivot quickly, and effectively deliver against tight deadlines; demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and grace under pressure.
