Key job responsibilities
Technical Leadership:
- Design and deploy highly scalable, enterprise-grade solutions leveraging AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, RedShift, DocumentDB)
- Implement best practices for security, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization
- Lead architectural reviews and technical workshops focused on database migration and modernization
Customer Engagement:
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to SMB executives on cloud transformation strategies
- Provide deep technical expertise to advance AWS Database Services adoption
Innovation & Knowledge Sharing
- Develop proof-of-concept implementations combining database services with Large Language Models
- Champion industry best practices through AWS blogs, white papers, and reference architectures
- Present at key industry events including AWS re:Invent, AWS Summit, and major conferences
- Stay current with emerging trends in Database, Analytics, and Generative AI technologies
- Provide feedback to AWS product teams on customer-specific requirementsQualifications
Required
- Deep experience with AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, etc.)
- Strong background in database architecture, migration, and optimization
- Experience with at least one major database platform: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, or NoSQL databases
- Proven ability to design and implement complex database solutions
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to various audiencesPreferred
- Experience with Generative AI technologies and RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) implementations
- Background in database migration projects, particularly from on-premises to cloud environments
- Knowledge of vector databases and embedding systems

- 7+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- 5+ years of technology/software sales experience
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
- Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information technology related graduations and cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
