Review of service records and vehicle logs to identify patterns, to accelerate identification of problem definitions
Clean and standardize data from logs to ensure clarity and reliability for downstream analysis
Categorize issues based on severity, recurrence, and engineering impact
Work with automation tools to evaluate and improve automated log analysis, flagging cases where manual intervention is required
Coordinate incoming hardware sent back for failure analysis
Support lab general operations and work alongside field reliability and design engineers to accelerate failure analysis
Work with engineers and facilities technicians to maintain a clean, safe, and useable lab space
This role will primarily support low voltage and electronic systems testing. Familiarity and experience with electronics is necessary
What You’ll Bring
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to piece together events leading to failures from complex data sources, including service logs and hardware inspections
Strong capability to identify patterns and trends that may indicate root causes of issues
Vehicle technicians with experience diagnosing issues and identifying root causes are highly preferred This includes troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, or electronic systems and resolving complex problems in a hands-on environment
High level of discipline and consistency in performing repetitive daily tasks to analyze large volumes of data and identify meaningful patterns
Strong perseverance and focus in working through extensive datasets and hardware to extract actionable insights
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer skills
Ability to run software, including diagnostics
Ability to use multi-meters, soldering, crimping, mechanical tasks; preference given for higher skill
Previous experience reading and understanding electrical schematics and engineering drawings required; preference given for understanding and creating work instructions for installation and repair
