IT Advisor, Big Data (Architecture) (Senior Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1616501), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, or a related field and at least 8 years of work experience (5 years must be progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience). Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, or related field and at least 7 years of work experience.

Must have minimum of 4 years of experience in the following:
- Strategic Big Data initiatives, focused in financial services.
- Architecting Big Data applications using a minimum of 3 of the following Hadoop technologies: Spark, MapReduce, YARN, HDFS, Hive, Impala, Oozie, HBase, Elasticsearch, and/or Cassandra.
- Working with Business Intelligence teams, Data Integration developers, Data Scientists, and Analysts and DBA’s to deliver well-architected and scalable Big Data & Analytics eco-system
- Event stream processing technologies including Spark streaming, Storm, Akka, Kafka, and/or similar
- At least one programming language (Java, Scala, or Python)
- At least one major Hadoop platform (Cloudera, Hortonworks, or MapR)
- At least one Next Gen database (distributed, graph, or NoSql)
- SQL and scripting languages (including Python and R)
- Big data design patterns
- Agile delivery methodology.

Requires domestic and regional travel up to 80% to serve client needs.
