RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support internal transaction and capital commitment committee processes including Fairness Committee, Equity Commitment Committee, and Leveraged Finance Committee. Draft and negotiate engagement letters, confidentiality agreements, and other documents related to investment banking transactions.

  • Research and analyze trends within the subsectors of the Healthcare industry, including healthcare services, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical technology, tools, and devices.

  • Interact directly with clients, legal counsel, product teams, and senior bankers to tailor M&A advisory and capital raising solutions.

  • Work with analysts and associates on client coverage, origination, and transaction execution teams.

  • Execute and advise on M&A transactions, initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, convertible debt offerings, spin offs, and private placements in the healthcare sector.

  • Perform comprehensive valuation and benchmarking analyses using comparable companies and precedent transactions.

  • Create complex financial models including discounted cash flow, leverage buyout, cost of capital analysis, merger models, and market models to forecast revenues for life sciences companies.

  • Prepare client presentation materials, internal approval memos for transactions, and marketing documents such as roadshow materials, confidential information memorandums, management presentations and company teasers.

  • Evaluate strategies including takeover defenses and business development & licensing opportunities for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

  • Conduct research using databases including Factset, Factiva, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and Refinitiv to analyze market data and competitive dynamics.

  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related: and

  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related Finance occupation.

  • Must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Executing and advising on M&A transactions, initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, convertible debt offerings, spin offs, and private placements in the healthcare sector;

  • Performing comprehensive valuation and benchmarking analyses using comparable companies and precedent transactions;

  • Creating complex financial models including discounted cash flow, leverage buyout, cost of capital analysis, merger models, and market models to forecast revenues for life sciences companies;

  • Preparing client presentation materials, internal approval memos for transactions, and marketing documents such as roadshow materials, confidential information memorandums, management presentations and company teasers;

  • Evaluating strategies including takeover defenses and business development & licensing opportunities for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies; and,

  • Conducting research using databases including Factset, Factiva, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and Refinitiv to analyze market data and competitive dynamics.

  • The Employer will accept 2 years of finance experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in a stated field.

  • 25% domestic and international travel required, as necessary.
