About the Role

  • This high-impact, high-visibility role on the Service Cloud Product Marketing team is your opportunity to stretch your strategic storytelling muscles. As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will develop global messaging and positioning that sets industry standards. You will bring the Service Cloud story and product innovation to life through keynote presentations, analyst briefings, and executive communications.

  • You will collaborate closely with senior leaders across functions and work alongside a world-class team of passionate product marketers. This is a fast-paced role requiring tight collaboration with Product Marketing Managers focused on core Service Cloud products, as well as teams in Customer Insights, Customer Marketing, Creative, Public Relations, Analyst Relations, Events, Campaigns, GTM, and Product Management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the messaging and positioning strategy for the global Service Cloud & Industries product

  • Create executive-level keynote presentations for premier events like Dreamforce, engaging in-person, digital, and hybrid audiences

  • Develop messaging and positioning frameworks, and sales enablement materials that ensure consistent messaging worldwide and across industries

  • Partner with Customer Insights to validate messaging via customer and prospect focus groups

  • Collaborate with Analyst Relations to craft presentations demonstrating Service Cloud thought leadership and product innovation

  • Coach senior executives and presenters to effectively deliver the Service Cloud brand narrative

  • Provide messaging guidance and feedback on campaigns, creative assets, and PR strategies

  • Conduct competitive research to maintain differentiated and relevant messaging and positioning

  • Develop a deep technical understanding of core Service Cloud capabilities including case management, knowledge, and the service console to shape differentiated messaging that resonates with IT and business buyers.

  • Partner closely with Product Management and Sales to translate product strategy into compelling narratives that bridge technical detail and customer value, ensuring our positioning scales across stakeholders from admins to CIOs.

Required Skills / Experience

  • 7+ years in product, industry, or corporate marketing, preferably with SaaS or cloud software experience

  • Proven ability to craft compelling positioning, messaging, and thought leadership content, with experience interacting with executives and developing executive-level presentations

  • Creative thinker with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving projects from ideation to success

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong cross-team relationships

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver new features that improve product usage, grow the business, and make customers happy using tangible metrics
  • Create and prioritize a multi-release feature roadmap, in collaboration with multiple internal and external facing groups (i.e., Customer Success, Sales, and Engineering)
  • Commit to the best user experience possible. Work closely with UX to develop, test, and deliver assets to Engineering. Drive the end-to-end feature delivery cycle.
  • Measure success - A feature's release does not decide success. Define what success means for each feature and each function before it even goes to development.
  • Represent the customer. Be the champion and voice of customers. Build impactful, personal customer relationships. Bring the customer's voice into the creation process. Own requirements, specifications, and release plans. Own demos.
  • Collaborate across teams. We win or lose as a team. Product managers play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Work across Salesforce and the various teams / clouds on hands on Proof of concepts for newer features and architect them along with engineering
  • Communicate with clarity and efficiency while coordinating product release communications for your components. Be a great partner with the Engineering team for both successes and challenges.
  • Serve as a domain and product expert for Retail Cloud and Modern POS with Engineering, GTM and customers.


Role Requirements

  • 5+ years of SaaS product management experience (or relevant experience) within the enterprise POS space.
  • Experience gathering and redefining business requirements and market needs into a successful product strategy.
  • Strong organizational as well as written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong experience in partnering with engineering teams and writing detailed product definitions.
  • Strong technical abilities to hold your own in debates with technical architects and engineers. You are intimately familiar with modern software development practices used to build and deploy mobile applications.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies like Scrum.
  • Understanding of software architecture and UX design.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities in fast paced & iterative product development cycles.
  • Domain expertise in POS and retail space.
  • Effective communicator - Communicates well with engineering and cross-functional teams; can effectively present plans and roadmap to internal stakeholders and C-Level execs; comfortable pitching their product to diverse external audiences (customers, partners, and analysts); strong ability to convince and influence
  • Experience identifying and addressing customer needs, building relationships with customers, developing an awareness of relevant services, communicating with customers in an organized and knowledgeable manner, and delivering clear requests for information
  • Bachelor's degree (technical disciplines preferred) or equivalent work experience.
