As a Credit Controller, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that the company’s accounts stay organized and that customers are paying their bills on time. You’ll manage the credit process of the company from start to finish, from approving or declining credit requests to taking measures when overdue payments arise.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all financial transactions comply with the companies’ internal policies and credit limits. You’ll do this by carefully analyzing credit requests, monitoring receivables, and keeping accurate records. Other duties may include conducting credit checks, liaising with external debt collections agencies and magistrates' courts, negotiating payment terms and settlements, and producing reports on outstanding debts.
You’ll evaluate delinquent customers to find the best solution to their financial problems and come up with strategies to reduce bad debts. Furthermore, you’ll monitor invoice aging and ensure the company’s financial information remains accurate and secure.
