As a Director of Software Engineering, you will build and lead a highly talented software engineering team to modernize legacy system to unlock innovation, speed to market and real time processing. This leader must be a deep technical expert and thought leaders that help accelerate adoption of the engineering practices, up skill themselves with the industry innovations, trends and practices.
You will:
Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of product focused software engineers
Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers on your team
Work with product leaders to define the strategy, roadmap and destination architecture
Manage a portfolio of diverse technology platforms and projects to build scalable applications that meet our customer needs
Continuously improve software engineering practices
Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions
Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 7 years’ experience in software development
- At least 5 years’ experience in people management
- At least 5 years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Python
- At least 3 years of experience in public cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- 10+ years’ of experience in software development
- 4+ years of experience with AWS
- 5+ years’ of experience in Agile practices
