In the
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Sales Operations Leader, Proposal Managers, Sales Managers/Leaders, Project Managers, and Creative & Sales Solutions Team members to provide coordination, publishing, and administrative services to Jacobs organization.
- Provide critical support to develop proposals under the guidance of senior staff and, as your capabilities grow, lead Proposal Development through proposal team coordination of small to medium proposals; may take ownership of section(s) of larger efforts under the guidance of senior staff.
- Coordinate/provide direction during proposal development to graphic designers, publishing technicians, editors, and other support staff, as well as to teaming partners and subconsultants.
- Coordinate, write, edit/tailor, and perform research for non-technical proposal sections; ensure compliance; proactively identify and communicate potential issues/variances.
- Coordinate and/or manage the production of response documents and monitor and hold yourself to the proposal schedule. Check client websites for information and addenda.
- Participate in kick-off meetings and other milestone meetings, as appropriate.
- Be accountable for quality assurance/quality check (QA/QC) of assigned proposals and proposal sections.
- Participate in debrief meetings on completed proposals and apply lessons learned to future efforts.
- Develop new or update existing sales qualification materials.
- Learn and actively follow Sales procedures, policies, protocols, and best practices, including standard file management and archiving procedures, as well as Branding Guidelines.
- Populate/update (as appropriate) information in Jacob’s Client Success Platform (CSP) and business development-related tools and databases.
- Evaluate and resolve problems by applying appropriate solutions and seeking leadership guidance as necessary.
- Offer suggestions for, or alert leadership to, improvements/additions and lessons learned to streamline processes, procedures, tools/databases, and function of the team.
- Begin to develop an understanding of business objectives, priorities, and sales strategies, especially as they relate to the proposal process. Develop knowledge of company markets, partner/ competitor/subconsultant firms, clients, and industry trends.
- Begin to foster working relationships with Operations, other staff, Selling Units, and Sales Enablement teams both locally and across the network.
- Participates in in-house business development activities as appropriate.
Here's what you'll need
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- 2-3+ years of experience in a similar role (Sales / PMO), preferably within Engineering (Civil) / Construction industry and/or Digital Products/Services
- Academic degree in business, marketing, communication, engineering, or another related field
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and database applications
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign) will be an asset
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to work under tight deadlines/stress
- Readiness to travel when needed, including international destinations such as USA and UK
- Excitement about supporting sales efforts leading to the growth in the Digital and Data capability which includes Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, Software Development, Solution implementation and Digital Advisory
