Provide mentoring and coaching to build capability and enhance payroll skills and knowledge within the payroll function.
Ensure corporate requirements are met individually and as a team including the performance planning and assessment cycle and the requirements of finance, audit, statutory compliance, and risk reporting.
Manage staff performance and ensures consistency. Co-ordination and management of all aspects of payroll service delivery
Supervise and oversee the payment of all salaries and allowances to staff.
Investigate and provide advice on any payroll claims and issues that are escalated.
Check payroll variances with satisfactory comments and verify that payroll calculations are correct.
Ensure compliance with applicable statutory laws and payroll tax requirements at various payroll locations.
Resolve payroll process related issues and problems.
Review, check and sign payroll reconciliations related general ledger accounts.

Payroll reporting, regulations, and governance
Coordinate the regular issue of exceptional reporting and investigate and rectify any anomalies with HR, COE, Vendor, and IT.
Review payroll policies and amend procedures when required with the support of the HR and Payroll Leadership.
Ensure there are proper internal controls in place in payroll systems and processes.
Ensure payroll statutory compliance reporting happens on time by coordinating with Legal, HR and vendor personnel. Other support
Other duties as may be required from time-to-time to support the HRS and HR Leadership in implementing policies and procedures.
Lead / drive initiatives, projects and process improvements when assigned to, and get results. Support organization goals as per AOP and STRAP Facilitate brainstorm sessions to drive Kaizen culture.
Conduct regular Gemba to ensure Payroll Control check are followed and look out for improvements.

Technical expertise
Have at least 2 years of experience as a payroll team leader or similar role.
5+ years of experience in managing payroll for international staff based in multiple locations and in multiple currencies.
Expert in MS Excel and Advanced skills in MS Office.
Knowledge of local and international banking systems and regulation.
Sound experience leading a team of payroll staff.
Sound knowledge on global Payroll Software (ADP Global view or streamlined or other equivalent) would be highly preferred.
Good Knowledge of PeopleSoft or other HRMS, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications.
Good knowledge of HR processes, back-end operations, Vendor management & managing Invoices.
Strong Business and Functional acumen and Market Intelligence.
Lead change management initiatives (process, cultural, policy-related)
Experience working in environments under pressure, managing multiple priorities to proactively seek solutions.
Ability to work collaboratively with other areas of Operations - Finance/HR/IT.
Strong analytical, methodical, and organizational skills.
Experience working with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
