Job Description
The role is based in Bergen, Norway.
In this role, you will report to the Aqua R&D Director and support the R&D Director in the responsibilities to organize, conduct, co-ordinate, and lead research projects and to perform all necessary experiments to design, develop or improve vaccines, vaccination strategies and veterinary products for cold water fish aquaculture.
In addition, you will work in a highly international environment and will have a lot of collaboration with our company’s Aqua R&D colleagues across the globe.
As a part of this role, you will also:
have the responsibility for global Research and Development projects for cold water fish species to the highest internal, National and International standards.
ensure the fastest possible development of products whilst ensuring the quality standards and a high level of performance confidence of the product developed.
determine the lines and approaches for product portfolio development.
stay up to date with the scientific developments and literature within your expertise fields and contributes to dissemination of research results (IP, technical papers, reports, presentations, etc.) both internally and externally.
support new projects proposal and business cases
support transfer to production and registration of new products
function as study director or principal investigator for clinical studies
support lab operations when required
Qualifications and Skills required:
Ph.D in life sciences, Veterinary Science or related field.
A minimum of 7-8 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical R&D position, preferably vaccine development
5+ years’ experience in leading a diverse R&D team and R&D projects.
Knowledge of local and EU legislation procedures and guidelines governing pharmaceutical products.
Proficiency in English language is required, proficiency in Norwegian is desired
Outstanding collaborative skills with the ability to work both reactively and proactively in a timely manner in a cross-functional and international environment.
Strong Leadership skills including ability to engage and inspire others and manage changes.
Good judgment and scientific problem-solving skills, with ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Outstanding, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Ability to assess, prioritize, and complete multiple projects, tasks, and/or responsibilities.
