Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement the framework for the state registration and withdrawal process. Including establishing a shared database and infrastructure to manage process.
  • Partner with SMEs in Legal, Corporate Tax, Payroll, Legacy Acquisition Teams, and Divisional Finance to gather necessary information and develop comprehensive project plans for state withdrawals.
  • Partner with internal Tax and Legal SMEs to effectively manage company entities through outside consultants and service providers.
  • Facilitate state withdrawals in accordance with project plans.
  • Track the status of registrations and withdrawals across all states of operation.
  • Develop and implement processes to identify and correct non-compliance issues and resolve notices from state regulatory authorities.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate translation of reporting of state registration and withdrawal activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for state regulatory agencies and outside service providers regarding registration and withdrawal matters.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members involved in the registration and withdrawal process.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates on the status of state registrations and withdrawals for management review.
  • Assist Project Management colleagues with other highly visible integration projects as needed and as time allows.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, ideally in managing complex processes involving legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex processes and concepts.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and coordinating efforts across multiple departments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred qualifications and competencies:

  • Prior experience in corporate governance, legal compliance, or tax-related roles is preferred.
  • Expertise in at least one of these areas: Kaizen and/or workshop facilitation, change management, process improvement.
  • PMP certification.
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Legal Studies, or a related field.
