The Camera Systems team creates embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets that power advanced mobile devices. Our solutions leverage dedicated hardware, ISP, multi-core processors, DSP, and GPU cores to provide state-of-the-art photographs, video recordings, as well as scene data for image understanding and object detection. Responsibilities include the following:
Research and development for next generation camera features and image quality improvement.
Prototype solutions on mobile platforms for proof of concept and demonstration purposes.
Deployment and tuning support of solutions that improve the mobile imaging experience.
Design of camera systems that balance power, memory, silicon area to maximize imaging performance.
Qualification
5+ years working experiences in the following areas:
Camera and image processing technologies.
Camera ISP algorithm tuning.
Linux SW development experience.
Expert at HW or SW algorithm for camera image processing.
Image signal processor pipeline design.
Customer support/ camera tuning experience.
C, C++, Python, Matlab.
Physical Requirements
Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
