Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Team management: lead and develop a team of three direct reports (1 FP&A, 2 OTC)

  • Lead the market effort and work closely with Managing director, Supply Chain, Commercial, Business Support, and Market Access teams to:

    • Prepares mid-month, month-end, and quarter estimates and actual commentaries.

    • Coordinate the development and submission of financial forecasts, budget, 5-year plan.

    • Track performance against forecasts to understand and clearly articulate drivers.

    • Support continuous Gross to Net optimization.

    • Prepare business review to local and regional senior leaders.

  • Use financial analysis and planning outputs to provide business decision support and financial recommendations to drive profitability and product performance, including resource allocation and the identification of risks and opportunities.

  • Ensure effective and timely communication with BSC, Regional / HQ COE's regarding key deliverables and support.

  • Support achievement of finance and business objectives.

  • Coordinate identification and escalation of issues and advise Finance leadership of potential business and/or operational risks.

  • Identify, design, and install process improvements for local financial reporting, forecasting and management related activities.

  • Support monthly close process inclusive of accrual evaluations, postings and balance sheet reviews and approves manual journal entries.

  • Other business support: contribute to assessments of business development and strategic initiatives, support various business projects with financial insights.

  • Monitor and reinforce internal controls, the compliance environment, and adhere to our policies and standards, procedures and guidelines, as well as laws and codes of practice.

  • Provide financial literacy education for non-finance stakeholders, fostering a broader understanding of financial concepts and terminology, facilitating collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Manage the Customer Services team and OTC operations, in particular:

    • Sales Order Processing and routine review of credit-limits.

    • Monitor billing, ensure compliant revenue recognition, and monitor cash application is collaboration with the BSC.

    • Contact with customers, queries and complaints management.

    • Strong partnership with demand planning and D&L to monitor inventory levels and take appropriate actions to avoid stock-outs and write-offs.

    • Maintain up-to date price list, ensure compliance with regulation rules.

Education, Experience & Competencies:

Skills & qualifications:

  • Education: bachelor’s/master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Economics

  • Experience: 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in an accounting or finance role, FP&A (forecasting and reporting) experience is preferred

  • Strong analytical and data organization / interpretation skills

  • Proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines

  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks and work independently

  • Attention to details and accuracy

  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry is an advantage

  • Strong leadership skills

    • Ability to lead and develop people with strong focus on our ways of working and values

    • Excellent communication skills

Languages:

  • Fluent in English

  • Fluency in German strongly preferred

Systems:

  • Proficient in MS Excel

  • Solid knowledge of the company’s financial reporting and planning systems and processes, good knowledge of systems (e.g., SAP, BPC, PowerBI)
