Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of translation projects, ensuring they run smoothly, efficiently, and are completed within the expectations of management and company users.
- Lead a team of 4 temp staff and 1 external contractor to schedule and assign translators to meet the needs and demands requested by the business.
- Evaluate and develop translator's skill set and manage temp staff relations issues, providing counsel and support. Evaluate and recruit new temporary staff translators as needed to fill vacancies or support expanded needs.
- Collaborate with Communication Office and President's Office to ensure appropriate allocation of translation resources to highest priority projects.
- Provide feedback and coaching to strengthen the temporary staff translator's capabilities.
- Assure consistent and timely collaboration and communication among the various teams internally.
- Serve as an ad-hoc translator on high priority projects if needed.
- Maintain an excellent relationship with translators and create a collaborative culture.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of project management and/or administrative experience in a similar environment.
- About 8-10 years of translator experience in a multinational business environment.
- Demonstrated learning agility related to learning technical and/or business-specific concepts and vocabulary as a translator. Pharmaceutical or medical background is not required but desirable.
Qualifications:
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays, interruptions and unexpected events.
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative, and cross-functional environment.
- Energetic team player and leader who understands the company's basic missions and values. Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- University degree in linguistic/translation-related studies.
- TOEIC score of 900+.
