In this position you will use and expand your experience and professional skills for the following responsibilities:
- preparation of the statutory accounts of selected EMEA entities
- active involvement in the external audit of the statutory accounts
- delivery of statutory accounts to directors, and liaison with the Company Secretarial department to set up related board meetings
- research of new accounting standards or forthcoming changes in the external reporting framework, and making recommendations following this. This may involve consultation with the EMEA Accounting Policy team
- regular liaison with the Corporate Tax function and other regulatory reporting departments to assist them with tax returns and FCA and PRA submissions respectively
- ad hoc project work on the development and implementation of new systems and any restructuring within the entities
- assistance in onboarding the financial statement preparation of further EMEA entities to the Budapest CSC
- exploit a collaborative and motivating attitude to join forces with colleagues for excellent results

- use your experience and knowledge to drive and contribute to outstanding team performance
Ideal background:
- University/College degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics, ACCA is an advantage
- 3-5 years of experience in financial auditing (internal or external) or financial reporting and accounting or controlling
- IFRS and US GAAP experience, familiarity with UK GAAP is an advantage
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Prior experience with preparation of financial statements and supporting external audit is an advantage
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Pro-active, able to manage time and issues
- Planning and organizational skills, able to prioritize work
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English
