Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 9+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering or system validation, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Solid understanding of system-level validation, performance profiling, and power analysis.
  • Experience with automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results across geographies.
  • Experience validating models for performance metrics or key performance indicators (KPIs).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Windows OS internals and modern multiprocessor architectures.
  • Experience working with silicon vendors and hardware partners.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based validation infrastructure and telemetry systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities
As a Software Engineering Manager driving Validation Platforms & Lab Operations, you will oversee both device validation efforts and the development of automation frameworks and tools that accelerate engineering workflows and improve product quality. The team’s charter includes managing and expanding lab infrastructure, supporting device onboarding, enabling power and compatibility testing, and building scalable automation systems.

You will partner closely with peers across global teams and other stakeholders to define strategy and establish effective rhythms of planning and execution. In this role, you will foster an inclusive engineering culture that values excellence, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for managing and scaling lab infrastructure to support silicon validation across Windows platforms.
  • Oversee onboarding and lifecycle management of lab devices, including early silicon and in-market hardware, ensuring readiness for validation workflows.
  • Drive development and maintenance of automation frameworks and tools that enable scalable and efficient validation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to define infrastructure requirements for compatibility testing and power validation.
  • Manage setup and operations of specialized lab environments, including power testing labs with unique electrical and environmental needs.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of lab systems, including provisioning, staging, and monitoring of test environments.
  • Hire, mentor, and grow a team of validation engineers and software developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Partner with program managers and engineering leads to align lab capabilities with broader platform goals and validation strategies.
