Reporting to a manager, a Sentry Shift Supervisor is part of the extended Sentry leadership team and provides support, guidance, training and accountability to those they supervise and counsel to their manager and the senior manager. Shift Supervisors assist in the identification, planning, development and execution of Sentry processes and initiatives. This includes QA responsibilities for assigned Sentry processes and ongoing reviews of existing Sentry processes. Shift supervisors work under general supervision of their manager, with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment. This position works rotating shifts that may include weekends, holidays, evenings and overnight shifts. Shift Supervisors also have on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Act as people manager for the associates assigned to the supervisor’s shift, and indirect management of contract Watch Officers on the Sentry team
Complete monthly quality assurance for assigned areas of responsibility
Coordinate the critical flow of information in emergency situations.
Enter, update, and retrieve information from a variety of security applications
Support GWS security professionals in the investigation of robberies and other critical incidents related to the retail banking portfolio of the business
Maintain critical systems statuses during emergencies
Provide basic data entry and administration support as needed
Coordinate with project managers on new install and projects involving security monitoring, including testing of the systems
Create job aids as needed for the team to support ongoing training
Perform audits in support of investigations and people management
Engage in regular communication with the security consulting team and other LOB associates
Provides necessary training and coaching
The ability to function as an analyst when necessary.
Other administrative functions in support of Sentry
:
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 2 years of experience leading, or managing a shift in a Security Operations Center
At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office or Google Suite
:
At least 3 years of experience managing security operations center
At least 2 years of experience with security technology systems
At least 1 year of experience with emergency communication operations
At least 1 year of experience in intelligence gathering, assessment and reporting using situational awareness tools such as VCC and Dataminr.
