Job responsibilities

  • Accountable for driving the Corporate Sales agenda for existing and prospective clientsthat are Headquartered in APAC (“HQ Corporate Sales”), working closely with in-country Corporate Banking and Payments Heads
  • Lead the APACHQCorporate Sales team to drive the achievement of new business goals for the region, including the annual sales plan at target margins by identifying prospects/opportunities, developing the approach/calling plans and engaging partners to influence decision makers at prospective clients.
  • In partnership with Payments partners and Headquarter Bankers, to drive the execution of the sales strategy, to achieve new business sales objectives, expand market share and increase the share of wallet with APAC clients
  • Drive strategic account planning for targeted clients, focusing on the use of credit capital and balancing client needs against firm wide priorities
  • Direct the development/evolution of complex products and solutions for clients through partnership with internal product stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to create an effective operating model that suits the needs of the region and drives effectiveness in line with global business needs.
  • Oversee the management of the entire sales process and end to end onboarding and implementation process for APAC clients
  • Proactively build and drive collaborative firm wide relationships with Wholesale Product and Global Corporate Banking coverage resources and other relevant partners

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or related discipline
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with a documented track record of success in financial services
  • Senior sales management with proven track record in leadership roles in Corporate Sales
  • Management experience of a sales and/or relationship management team, alongside proven progressive leadership, management, execution, coaching, and influencing skills, particularly at C-Level
  • Proven leadership skills in developing and building collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders to achieve firm-wide objectives, alongside established and effective executive presence and experience speaking in public forums.
  • Proven success and active leadership and direct management to a geographically diverse sales and relationship management force.
  • A high-level of success in cross-selling products and a track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive product penetration goals
  • A high-level of success in establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients.
  • Deep Corporate Sales product/solution set knowledge relevant to the market and demonstrated track record of success
  • Ability to manage client risk dynamics and drive team to manage risks, work with internal partners and clients to implement balanced risk/reward relationship

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Exposure to various functions including sales, client service, operations preferred
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Effective collaboration, relationship-building and interpersonal skills, preferably demonstrated in a client-facing role
  • Self-starter with positive attitude, strong work ethics and sense of team work
