Your impact
As an, you will be responsible for delivering and coordinating the delivery of multiple tasks on major infrastructure projects. You will work with a team of technical professionals in coordinating the development of design, technical specifications, and supporting oversight activities during the design and construction phases.
In this role, you will:
- Support project management and coordinate project delivery to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Champion the delivery of high-quality projects that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Coordinate the development of procurement documents, including technical requirements or specifications.
- Coordinate with various discipline leads, including with client or partner organizations, to deliver project deliverables.
- Triage RFIs and support requests from contractors, internet service providers, utility companies, municipalities, and other stakeholders, and work with subject matter experts to address.
- Coordinate activities and deliverables in the design and construction phase, leading to commissioning/testing and completion.
- Facilitate meetings, document discussions in minutes, and track actions through completion.
- Review and analyze project data for trends, prepare presentations and briefing material.
- Coordinate and engage with stakeholders to facilitate the resolution of disputes.
- Document project risks, actions, and issues, and assist in identifying strategies and next steps.
- Support client and stakeholder relationship development.
- Work with the sales team, as required, on proposal development.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in preliminary or detailed design, project coordination, and/or construction inspection/oversight of major capital projects in Ontario.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, or EIT working towards being licensed in the near term.
- Experience in transportation, municipal, fibre, or electrical transmission/distribution construction projects.
- Collaborative and team-oriented as well as highly resourceful and self-directed, with a key focus on important skills including communications, time management, teamwork, report writing, and proposal preparation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience preparing presentations, briefing material, memos, and technical reports.
- Empathy, self-awareness, and career enthusiasm.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Experience with transportation departments/ministries, utilities, transit agencies, and municipal clients (preferably in Ontario).
- Experience with alternative delivery models.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with CAD and GIS platforms.
