The IS Sr Specialist role blends an understanding of key customer requirements, market trends, and technology innovations to analyze how different data management technologies attempt to address them.
Responsibilities- Competitive Enablement
- Content– Develop a range of collateral that fully articulates the value of MongoDB, translating technical capabilities into messages that resonate with diverse audiences – from mobile and application developers through to C-level business and technology decision makers
- Sales enablement– Train our internal sales team and partners on database market dynamics and competitors, enabling them to qualify opportunities and influence required capabilities.
- Win/Loss- Work with sales and customers to understand and investigate and analyze recent wins and loses
- Define– Share market intelligence with our Product Management, Engineering, and Executive leadership teams to help inform product strategy and roadmap
- Responsive– track competitive trends, ensuring MongoDB is appropriately positioned in the marketplace. Rapidly develop responses to competitive announcements and breaking market news
Success Measures- Contribution towards revenue driving engagements and initiatives
- Maintaining MongoDB’s current high win rate against competitors
- Content effectiveness (sales adoption and win/loss metrics, SEO authority, page views, product registrations and downloads)
- Adoption of Market Intelligence content across the company
Requirements- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in technology product marketing, product management, or sales roles
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce stellar writing under tight deadlines
- Ability to leverage strategic thinking to synthesize information from multiple sources into relevant, comprehensible, and actionable insights for different stakeholders
- Strong technical and commercial acumen, with the ability to modulate content to speak to different internal and external audiences
- Demonstrated success in positioning industry-leading products and services, with the creative and analytical horsepower to do so
- A very low ego-to-talent ratio
- BA/BS degree preferred, but relevant experience will be equally considered
- Experience in Salesforce reporting and CI-tools such as Klue or Crayon preferred
