As a Marketing Strategist Lead, you will work closely with the Commercial & Investment Bank’s Securities Services team – including business, platform and Sales Enablement – to develop and execute on a marketing strategy aligned to business priorities. In addition, you will be responsible for understanding and reporting on the Securities Services landscape – competitor activity, J.P. Morgan’s practices and industry trends. Based on these insights, you will recommend marketing strategies to support the business across Custody, Fund Services, Trading Services and Data Solutions. Knowledge of financial services, experience in B-to-B marketing and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting timelines simultaneously are critical.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with securities services teams to understand their priorities and develop plans to support business challenges and opportunities.
  • Assess competitor and industry activities and recommend strategies and plans to support our businesses.
  • Recommend and gain support from the business on new ideas and innovative programs and hold kick-off and debrief meetings for all programs to ensure upfront agreement on and awareness across Internal Comms, Content, Web, Social, Production Legal, Compliance, etc.
  • Own the content process end-to-end to support the needs of the business teams – including, but not limited to, videos, podcasts, articles, etc. This includes managing logistics tied to asset creation from project submissions in WorkFront to scheduling podcast / video recordings with internal / external stakeholders, coordinating with Production team / vendors through to execution, as well as owning the budget submission process from the creation of COs to the submission of invoices tied to Securities Services programs and campaigns working in partnership with Corporate Marketing partners where needed.
  • Develop internal and external campaigns to increase the reach of content across all available channels from internal newsletters to client newsletters to web, social and more.
  • Lead social media adoption within the business in alignment with firmwide policies. This will require pitching, facilitating platform connections, and providing regular updates/feedback to the business.
  • Develop a suite of marketing templates, a repository for materials, etc in partnership with the business, the Fusion platform team and Sales Enablement.
  • Partner with agencies, vendors and internal partners globally to build out campaign materials – on time and on budget.
  • Work with Legal and Compliance teams globally to ensure approvals are in place for all activity before campaign and/or development work begins.
  • Collaborate with extended global team of marketing colleagues across the firm to ensure effective coordination of local, regional, and global activity with consistent messaging. Review campaign results with Data & Analytics team in real-time to optimize campaigns as needed and apply learnings from prior and xLOB campaigns to future campaigns to build on best practices and produce quarterly wrap-up deck showcasing marketing initiatives from across CIB Marketing globally / locally, pulling in data & analytics, digital assets, etc. to help tell our story and highlight wins.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 7+ years of work experience
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of wholesale financial products, client segments and overall industry landscape
  • Strong interest in digital and content marketing
  • Deep analytical skill set; able to synthesize information quickly and spot trends and opportunities
  • Experience developing and managing projects and processes
  • Superb written and oral communication skills; must be able to efficiently and effectively develop decks (MSFT PPT) for senior management
  • Strong track record partnering with senior leaders and the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Proven project and time management skills, able to manage multiple and varied projects concurrently, and end-to-end
  • Highly comfortable working in environment with shifting priorities and timelines
  • Attention to detail and ability to connect the dots on programs within the CIB and across lines of business is critical
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with data-driven approach
