Key responsibilities of the role:
- Complete construction projects by planning, organizing, and controlling projects; completing quality inspections; supervising sub-contractors and staff;
- Drive construction & commissioning driven project strategy;
- Perform duties described in site HSE plan (i.e. review RAMS, sign PTW, etc.);
- Fully responsible for the HSE performance of the subcontractors he/she directs (i.e. highlights to Contractor any NC with HSE plan or RAMS);
- Ensure work execution in accordance with requirements of contractual documents that describe the scope of work and managing interaction with the design team and the other Contractors;
- Organize and manage the weekly project meeting reporting the weekly status at least about the following topics: HSE, quality, documentation, progress, planning, design, cost and open issue;
- Control, check and review the weekly project progress on site plan;
- Assure that the Contractor organize their work in accordance with the construction execution plan, overall planning, HSE plan, etc.;
Here's what you'll need
- Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural, Architectural, HVAC/Mechanical, Piping, Equipment, E&I);
- Fluency in Italian and English is a must. Knowledge of German and/or French language could be an advantage;
- Coming from Engineering or Contracting area, preferably from Design or Engineering firms, acting as Construction Superintendent or Site Superintendent;
- With 6+ years of field supervisor experience in the role, preferably in the construction field of pharmaceutical facilities (secondary, API or R&D);
- Experience in managing multi-office projects;
- Commitment and strong technical background;
- Ability to meet operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards and identifying construction management system improvement;
- Focused on maintaining safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations;
- Excellent problem solving and team working skills including being able to rapidly engage with a team
Additional requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Projects, Microsoft Office program and Naviswork;
- Availability to work on pharmaceutical sites in Mainland Europe;
- High level of Safety Awareness and good communication skills
