As a post-doctoral associate in CT AI reconstruction, you will have the opportunity to conduct research in an interdisciplinary team environment. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the planning, development, and transition of technologies from concept to products and/or services for GE internally and external clients.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct research in an interdisciplinary team on new reconstruction and image process for CT systems leveraging AI technologies.
- Prepare and participate in project and technical reviews.
- Provide expertise to help resolve technical challenges across the organization.
- Collaborate in the development of internal and external project proposals and initiatives.
- Protect intellectual property through patents where appropriate.
- Foster a multidisciplinary and inclusive team environment.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Math, Physics, with at least 4 years experience in CT systems and AI based reconstruction, system design, image reconstruction, detector physics and/or modeling.
- Deep knowledge and experience in medical imaging, radiation physics, and image reconstruction and with a focus on CT, PET and/or Nuclear, or X-ray imaging systems
- Hands-on experience in evaluating and optimizing medical imaging systems or Monte Carlo modeling.
- A proven record of research demonstrated by peer-reviewed conference proceedings, and journal publications.
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY
Desired Characteristics
- Experience with NIH, ARPA-H or other government funded programs as a co-investigator or Principal Investigator.
- Proficiency with software development in MATLAB, C++, and/or Python
