Manager, Design Operations
While this role is an individual contributor, success relies heavily on building authentic relationships with peers, partners and leaders.
You’ll be asked to handle a variety of responsibilities, including:Portfolio Management:
Develop routines to track and prioritize initiatives, including resource allocation to meet business needs
Refine and manage capacity allocation and alignment systems
Build and maintain strong working relationships with product and tech partners to influence delivery practices
Co-create the interaction model with the product operations team
Provide accurate reporting to cross-functional leadership on portfolio status, resourcing, issues, and priorities.
Business & People Operations:
Support the hiring and onboarding of employees, manage contractors and vendors, strategically balance attrition.
Keeping a finger on the culture pulse and actively participating in shaping it
Design Standards & Practice Management:
Create and optimize end to end routines that drive design quality
Collaborate with peers across the broader Design organization on priority initiatives, scaling best practices, and building new processes to ensure the organization is well managed
Shape agendas, facilitate collaboration sessions, and build frameworks to drive teams towards outcomes
7 years relevant experience, including design management, product delivery, project/program management of design deliverables, and/or operations management
4 years experience leading project delivery for large, cross functional projects
Experience working directly with designers, researchers, and strategists
4+ years working within the product development process between tech, product, and design
Experience building operation systems and programs at scale
Experience working with corporate design teams
