Learning & Development Specialist

The Learning Specialist supports and facilitates learning and development activities for a defined client base within an operation or function. The rolereports into the Upper Hutt, New Zealand site and liaises with the regional Senior Specialist, Learning and Development to supportthe Upper Hutt (NZ) and Bendigo (AU) sites in the execution of the L&D strategy through consulting and delivery on appropriate learning solutions.
What You Will Do
Reporting into the Upper Hutt site, the primary focus of the Learning Specialist isto:
- Partner and consult with site leaders
- Develop training plans and program materials in response to organizational needs
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to develop training content
- Leverage and strengthen the skills of SMEs to ensure effective training solutions and sustained results
- Be a member of a high performing team assigned to develop standard processes for the organization
- Effectively use metrics and measurement to ensure that learning solutions result in desired on-the-job behavior changes
- Work with area Managers to maintain compliant training curriculums and job codes in the areas they support
- Assist area management with deviation investigations involving training related topics and human error issues
- Primary administrator for the online Learning Management System
- Obtain AH OJT Train the Trainer qualification
- Deliver Training classroom training as needed
- Applies team effectiveness skills, listening and integrating diverse perspectives from across the work group; contributes and adds value to the achievement of team goals.
- SSO for SN04 and AHQM Chapter 2.2
- Responsible for annual learning plan
What You Must have
- BS/BA degree in related field and (5) years relevant working experience
- Affinity with GMP / Minimum of two years in a highly regulated industry (preferablybiotech/pharmaceuticalmanufacturing)
- Proven interpersonal skills, as well as very strong verbal and written communication skills
- Design and Development of Training Programs
- Facilitation and Presentation skills
- Project Management
- Collaborative and a team player, able to develop rapport and credibility with key stakeholders
- Experience with adult learning
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency, when applicable, to drive sustained business results
