What You Will Do:
Create and maintain strategic relationships with business leaders and IT decision makers to advance, negotiate, and close key open-source subscription software and services opportunities, growing Red Hat’s market share within the clients’ technology environment.
Set and maintain high standards for the successful presentation and articulation of complicated sales messaging to clients, while differentiating Red Hat’s unique opensource-based value proposition in a competitive technology space.
Navigate the rigorous Red Hat sales processes and groups of internal subject matter experts to transact software subscription agreements with large, multi-regional clients.
Responsible for the creation of strategic and tactical sales plans and to lead the extended Sales team in implementing them to maximize revenue and growth.
Guide customers from their initial adoption of Red Hat software towards adopting additional offerings which complement their environment and expand Red Hat’s presence in the environment.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Commerce or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
Must have five (5) years of experience with collaborating with and providing leadership to cross functional teams;
Must have five (5) years of experience with the complete enterprise IT sales cycle, including the nurturing of an opportunity from identification to closure;
Must have five (5) years of experience with open-source technology and how to leverage Open Source in an enterprise selling context;
Must have five (5) years of experience with selling to enterprise customers both on direct contracts and through channel partners;
Must have five (5) years of experience with deal structuring, competitive positioning, handling customer objections, and product and solution and common use patterns;
Must have four (4) years of experience with consultative customer engagement with a major enterprise software company;
Must have four (4) years of experience with selling software subscriptions related to open-source software in an enterprise IT environment with multiple competing offerings and services;
Must have four (4) years of experience with forecast sales pipeline and bringing opportunities to closure in accordance with specific goals and performance metrics; and successful quota attainment and delivering results within firm time constraints;
Must have four (4) years of sales experience with cloud, automation, middleware, and emerging technologies used in enterprise datacenters. Domestic and international travel required up to 20% of the time for customer meetings, client sites and conferences. Travel expenses covered by Red Hat, Inc.
The salary range for this position is $182,624 - $207,530. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
