Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and other perks unique to the tech environment.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of government filings and audits (5500s, ACA, and applicable state/local requirements) and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Consult with benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants to ensure smooth administration of benefits plans and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Partner with consultants and Rewards Leadership on the planning and execution of the annual open enrollment process, including developing communications and coordinating OE meetings, webinars, and educational sessions.
  • Partner with HRIS team to ensure smooth operations and identify opportunities for improved data accuracy, improved reporting and analytics, and process improvement.
  • Assist in developing clear and engaging benefit communications and intranetcontent tailored to the Fortinet workforce.
  • Collaborate with the payroll to ensure accuracy of employee contributions and deductions.

Must Have’s

  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible and directly related US benefits experience, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Working knowledge of employee benefits principles and regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA).
  • Proficiency with benefits administration systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Meticulous and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Oracle HCM, including Benefits and Report Catalog
  • Experience in leave program administration.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or directly equivalent work experience
  • Certification such as Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP)

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Earnings for this position are expected to be $90,000 - $115,000 per year. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
