In joining Jacobs you will:
Review and understand project design documents, including drawings, specifications, and commissioning plans.
Develop and implement comprehensive commissioning plans for assigned infrastructure systems (e.g., electrical, mechanical, plumbing, transportation).
Conduct or supervise performance testing of commissioned systems, following established protocols and checklists.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot any identified issues, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning reports, documenting test procedures, results, and any identified discrepancies.
Liaise with project stakeholders, including engineers, operators, and clients, to communicate commissioning progress and address concerns.
Ensure all commissioning activities comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
May participate in pre-commissioning activities like witness testing at manufacturing facilities.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of commissioning processes for future projects.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning, preferably on infrastructure projects (e.g., power plants, transportation systems, water treatment facilities).
Strong understanding of infrastructure systems, their principles of operation, and relevant engineering codes.
Experience in developing and implementing commissioning plans and procedures.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve commissioning issues.
Proficient in technical writing and report generation.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Experience with commissioning software or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) a plus.
