Job Description

Implements software requirements. Provides support for implementation for subsystems. Acts in an advisory role to upper-level management on new and future coding processes. Develops software design and implement them on a subsystem independently but may receive edits and final review when encountering defects or issues with the subsystem functionality. Utilize basic coding / programming principles to disseminate information systems, complex data analysis, and hardware/software integration throughout the design review process to improve the functionality and versatility of existing or newly implemented algorithms.

Has an understanding of multi-threaded, multi process, and distributed software design principles as well as design for areas such as optimization of performance, maintainability, diagnostics, serviceability, quality, reliability, etc.
Has an understanding of architecture of big data handling, how to balance the HD cost, memory cost & runtime cost. Can use some classic database tool to do the development.
Comprehends the full process for development and application of image and data processing algorithmic systems, and able to serve as a functional contributor to the development of those systems. Comprehends the full process for development and application of Machine learning workflow, and able to apply machine learning into image processing, data process like cluster & more.

Able to investigate the development of new features for software programs as the sub-field of engineering grows and develops over time.

Able to communicate effectively with peers and interdisciplinary engineering groups. Able to give effective technical presentations to peers and managers. Asks precise questions that narrow the scope of a project or subsystem.

Able to follow instructions to resolve difficult issues that may span multiple subsystems or organizations. Able to uncover root cause and to devise solutions for simpler or moderately difficult problems.

Good background of maths & physics is preferred.
