Responsibilities
- Manages the budget and cost information for all Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects.
- Prepare and review Monthly Reports for the Program.
- Reconciles monthly reporting with Department of Aviation (CDA) systems: CIPCS, CMS, and FMS.
- Cost escalation review and related budget adjustments.
- Develops Executive Working Group monthly updates and focus topic details, as needed, for CIP and Allowance projects.
- Critical thinking skills to be able to take issues presented on a specific project and be able to analyze, research and prepare a recommendation for Senior Management review.
- Be able to prepare presentation materials to convey messaging on specific project updates, as required, per the Airline Use and Lease Agreement and be able to present the material, as needed.
- Detail oriented, manage multiple requests simultaneously and be able to prioritize assignments.
- Meets deadlines, particularly for year-end financial reporting requirements that are time sensitive.
- Responsible for ensuring Cost Controls deliverables are on time and at the required level of quality.
- Monitor project budgets to ensure they remain within budget, raising issues early when budget issues arise, developing recommendations on how to address the issues.
- Ensure effective and positive communication with Project Managers and the Client.

Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in cost controls, budgeting, and financial management on large-scale programs.
- Experience in aviation finance.
- Ability to develop and evaluate major program cost estimates and extended budget projections to identify and quantify critical budgetary, cost, schedule, technical, and programmatic risk factors.
- Experience with cost escalation analysis and related budget adjustments.
- Familiarity with financial and project management systems commonly used in large-scale capital improvement programs (e.g., CIPCS, CMS, or FMS).
- Exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to research issues, prepare recommendations, and present findings to senior management and clients.
- Proficiency in preparing presentation materials and delivering clear, concise updates to diverse audiences.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work onsite full-time at O’Hare International Airport with the program management team.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience with CDA financial systems and processes.
