Responsibilities and duties:

• Required finance professional with 8+ years of cross functional experience in Insurance Business covering entire spectrum of R2R, AP, AR involving various accounting operations, GL close, Global Analytics, External reporting.
• Exposure to any Accounting Changes Transformation & Future of Finance-Journey Mapping
• Inquisitive about the potential that emerging technologies offer and passionate about defining an effective and sustainable framework that delivers a positive and lasting impact on people and organizations.
• Participate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans, Monitor the financial performance of the company.
• Compile and analyse financial reporting packages, Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets.
• Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
• Communicate financial metrics to senior management, provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
• Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel, keep up to date on current trends.

To qualify for the role, you must have.

• Master’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline such as accounting designation (CA ,CMA, ACCA or CPA ), or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
• Minimum 8 years in Life Insurance accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role with at least 5 years’ experience in Life Insurance
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Ability to work closely with a senior management team.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Proficiency in MS – Excel, MS – Office.
• Experience in Life Insurance and preferably Big4 from consulting firms.
