you'll work on a varied portfolio of financial due diligence engagements also potentially combined with strategy, commercial due diligence engagements, as well as be able to build on other competencies throughout the whole M&A transactions cycle. You'll help EY's clients to plan and execute mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, restructuring, debt and equity sourcing.Working with our industry-leading team, you’ll be right at the heart of that challenge, working with leading business tools and methodologies to provide insights to some of the most sophisticated clients around.
Your key responsibilities
- Act as an authoritative advisor, guiding our clients through their strategic decision making, transaction process, providing insights and recommendations and leading valuation projects(including but not limited to key business drivers, EBITDA, net debt, net working capital, other risks and upsides) affecting M&A deal pricing and representations, providing strategic advice and guidance to key stakeholders
- Manage engagement objectives and strategies that meet and exceed our clients’ unique needs
- Constantly monitor risk and identify opportunities to improve our current processes (especially in transaction diligence)
- Expand and strengthen existing client relationships by participating in internal and external business development activities, develop new client relationships with key clients, prepare proposals and lead pursuits
- Lead on multiple client engagement teams
- Actively contribute to report writing and detailed financial analyses, presentations to the client
- Lead & develop more junior team members
What we expect from you is
- At least 4-5 years of prior experience involving strategy advisory, due diligence, financial analysis and related field in the Baltics or outside (within professional services firms would be an advantage)
- The ability to demonstrate intellectual rigour and commercial awareness, combined with first-class numeracy and analytical skills
- Skills of financial analysis, understanding of accounting standards (local GAAP and IFRS) and financial statements of various businesses, experience in corporate finance
- Excellent report writing, communication and presentation skills, attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple responsibilities, a proven record in project & team management
- Experience in M&A, Valuations, restructuring also is preferable
- CFA/ACCA or similar financial qualification would be an advantage
- A master’s (or at least bachelor’s) degree supported by experience in a relevant area
