Responsibilities and duties:
- Budgets & Planning: Finalization of Annual financial planning including half yearly Forecast covering HC, costs and expenses and margins with due interaction with various location finance and service function leaders.
- Lead the period close process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Work closely with senior management and department heads to facilitate sign-off procedures for financial statements and reports.
- Projected Financial: Preparing projected financial and over/under recovery as required from time to time.
- Special Projects / Assignments: Undertaking any specific projects, assignments and/or track and update management with the best analysis.
- Understand drivers for cost performance; drilldown and analyse the cost across actuals and plan.
- Ad hoc Analysis / Reports: Ad-hoc decision support for various global initiatives / improvement projects
- Process Improvement and Standardization: Ability to define As Is Processes and lead in design of to-be processes and roles leveraging leading practices and enabling technologies, to ensure optimum and consistent performance.
- Master data support: Provide support to the various technical team on various cost centre/codes, structures, hierarchy, and planning tools.
Skills And Attributes for Success:
- Must have prior working experience in preparation of Annual Operating plan and tracking of monthly performance against the plans. Doing the tracking effectively by using analytics dashboards.
- Thorough working knowledge of Finance and accounting, business analysis including experience with key financial processes such as monthly/quarterly close, forecasting and Annual Planning
- Exposure to one/more of EPM suite of applications- Anaplan, Hyperion, Tagetik, etc is must.
- Functional acumen, backed by proficiency in MS-Office, ability to handle complex data, and experience of modelling in MS-Excel, Power BI.
- Strong analytical mindset, structured work approach and high levels of attention to detail.
- Ability to lead with teams in different contexts & environment with an awareness of group dynamics to drive an inclusive approach.
- Excellent communication as the role would require interactions with multiple stakeholders.
- Relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders to achieve world class performance outcomes.
To qualify for the role, you must have.
- CA/CWA/MBA/M.Com/B.Com with 15+ years of work experience preferably in life insurance industry or big 4 consulting firm.
- Strong Knowledge in Accounting, Finance, MIS etc.
- Knowledge of any EPM suite of applications- Anaplan, Hyperion, Tagetik
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.
