Senior Software Engineer -Java

You will report to the Development Manager.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

As part of the Development team, you will be responsible for

  • Gather and translate broad feature requirements into functional and design specifications
  • Provide detailed estimates for features
  • Lead feature development with other team members
  • Write high quality code
  • Give iteration demos to show progress
  • Deliver features to production
  • Assist customers and field engineers in troubleshooting production issues
  • Mentor junior engineers
What We'd Like to See
  • Core Java, Spring Framework, Web service protocol stack, REST
  • Web client technologies such as JavaScript, ReactJS
  • Unit, Integration & end to end testing
  • Perforce and Git version control systems
  • Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure & GCP
  • Cloud Native Concepts/Technologies such as Microservices, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
  • K8s stack such as AWS EKS, Helm, Istio, etc
  • Telemetry tools such as Prometheus, ELK, Sumo Logic, Jaeger
Role Essentials
  • 5+ years of Enterprise Software Development experience
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms & design patterns
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design and multithreaded programming
  • Development experience using Java

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP and their managed services
  • Experience working with Microservices
  • Experience with cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes
  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background, we will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Supervises Operational Duties of Staff
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience for this role
