Wealth Planning & Advice is a group of experts in trusts & estates, tax planning, financial planning and planning in related areas for individuals and their entities (operating businesses, private foundations, etc.). Our role is to work with advisors and their clients to educate them about wealth planning opportunities both simple (e.g., asset titling, beneficiary designations) and complex (e.g., GRATs, split-interest trusts). We provide intellectual capital to clients across the wealth continuum and will work one-on-one with clients in appropriate circumstances. Familiarity with the taxation of entities and of estates and trusts is also useful but not required. Knowledge of issues relating to securities-based compensation (restricted stock, employee stock options, performance share units, etc.), pre-liquidity planning, and concentrated position management (such as 10b5-1 plans, derivative-based transactions, and exchange funds) will also be a plus.

As the Executive Director, Wealth Planner within J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, you will leverage your deep understanding of tax and trust & estate laws to communicate complex information in a simple, non-technical manner to both clients and advisors, as well as field leadership. You will adopt a goal-oriented approach when engaging with clients, which involves familiarizing yourself with the various investment, banking, and lending products and platforms available to our advisors across J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. This knowledge will enable you to identify issues and opportunities for client engagement. Additionally, you will collaborate with field management to develop regional strategies and provide guidance on their execution. A natural curiosity for people, planning, and the wealth management industry, along with independent initiative and responsiveness, are essential qualities for success in this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with divisional leadership and WP&A leadership to develop and present content across different wealth management topics.
  • Serve as a resource to the JPMWM field in the areas of both simple and sophisticated tax and trust & estate planning strategies as well as in concentrated position management, corporate executive services, and pre-liquidity transaction planning.
  • Partner with field leadership and Practice Management to integrate estate and tax planning concepts into goals-based advice.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of both federal and state tax laws relating to our areas of focus.
  • Promote J.P. Morgan’s knowledge and sophistication to outside centers of influence, primarily accountants and attorneys.
  • Work with Advisors to develop business opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Provide unbiased comprehensive and customized wealth planning advice to clients and prospective clients.
  • Work with individuals across the entire wealth spectrum and have experience with tax and wealth transfer strategies.
  • Actively participate in team discussions to proactively propose planning ideas and industry trends that can be shared with the field.
  • Travel to local and out of state branches, as needed.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 4-year college degree and either J.D, LLB, CPA or CFP
  • 7 plus years of practice as a trusts & estates lawyer, tax advisor, or financial planner

Your Impact

As a key member of the Capacity Planning team in, you will champion key capacity planning processes and influence decisions across the supply chain.


  • Rough-cut Capacity Planning : Develop and maintain quarterly rough-cut capacity plans (RCCP) for silicon and OSAT supply networks using best-practice planning methods and tools. Evaluate feasibility of monthly capacity plans based on updated demand, supply, and hardware inputs. Recommend data-driven strategies to align RCCP with sourcing strategy, product roadmaps, and supply plans.
  • Scenario Planning and Risk Mitigation : Monitor capacity utilization trends to identify emerging bottlenecks proactively. Model and assess the impact of demand shifts, build plan changes, and supply variability. Develop and present contingency strategies to optimize capacity coverage and minimize risks to key programs and schedules.
  • Supplier Forecasting : Publish monthly forecasts to foundry and OSAT partners and manage their responses. Reconcile supplier capacity positions with internal forecasts and highlight gaps or risks. Clearly communicate planning rationale to suppliers to set shared expectations and reduce friction during constraint or ramp scenarios.
  • Supplier Relationship Management. Foster strong, trust-based relationships with foundry and OSAT partners through regular engagement on capacity outlooks and planning assumptions. Represent the organization professionally, reinforcing transparency, accountability, and long-term partnership. Support supplier business reviews by preparing supplier-specific content on forecast and performance trends. Identify and bring up risks in supplier responsiveness or communication gaps that may impact supply continuity.
  • Team Collaboration : Collaborate with test operations, hardware planning, supply planning, and product operations to validate efficiency assumptions and update planning parameters. Collaborate with sourcing and product development teams to ensure commercial and operational conversations are well-coordinated and grounded in accurate capacity data. Support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) forums by delivering accurate, well-aligned capacity perspectives that advise scenario evaluation and decision-making.
  • Process Leadership : Play a key role in crafting and institutionalizing core capacity planning processes. Partner with business operations and planning leadership to define planning rhythms, decision cadences, and data flows that enable scalable and reliable supply decisions. Support the maturation of RCCP, scenario management, and supplier forecasting practices through documentation and team engagement. Bring initiative, systems thinking, and cross-functional leadership to accelerate process maturity and improve organizational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or relevant working experience
  • 6+ years of planning experience within the semiconductor or automotive industry
  • 2+ years of experience working directly with wafer foundries and/or OSATs or similar suppliers
  • Strong understanding of silicon manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics

As a key contributor within the Silicon Manufacturing Operations (SMO) team, you will play a key part in our front-end silicon and substrate supply strategy. You will translate the consensus demand forecast into a robust, multi-quarter supply and capacity plan, ensuring alignment between our strategic goals and our foundry and substrate partners' capabilities. Your success will be measured by your ability to secure supply, optimize capacity, and ensure the timely availability of wafers, substrates, and die to meet our customer commitments.

Your Impact
  • IBP Supply Ownership: Drive the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle for front-end silicon and associated long lead materials. You will be responsible for developing the comprehensive supply response to the consensus demand plan, presenting risks and opportunities, and driving executive-level decision-making.
  • Wafer, Substrate, & Die Buy Plan Execution: Own the master supply plan and translate it into a time-phased Buy Plan for wafers, substrates, and die. You will issue purchase requisitions, manage supply commits, and ensure the continuous flow of material to our back-end assembly and test sites.
  • Backend Collaboration & MPS Enablement: Partner closely with the Assembly & Test (A&T) Planning team members to ensure they have a die-feasible Master Production Schedule (MPS) for the backend. Your die supply plan will be a critical input to their process, and you will be responsible for communicating supply status and solving constraints.
  • Foundry & Substrate Capacity Planning: Develop, own, and manage the long-range capacity forecast for our key foundry and substrate partners. Proactively identify future capacity requirements and bottlenecks, and lead capacity planning reviews and commercial negotiations to secure the necessary production slots and strategic agreements to support our growth.
  • Scenario Modeling & Risk Mitigation: Analyze demand and supply scenarios to assess risks and opportunities. Model the impact of demand upside, supply disruptions, and process excursions, developing mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Performance Management & Reporting: Establish and report on Key Performance Indicators related to foundry and supplier performance, including On-Time Delivery (OTD), cycle time, and plan attainment. Provide clear and concise status updates to management on supply health, risks, and recovery plans.

Required Qualifications


  • 5+ years IBP/S&OP Experience: Demonstrated experience driving or being a primary contributor to a formal Integrated Business Planning or S&OP process is essential.
  • 5+ years Semiconductor Supply Chain Expertise: Deep understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing process, specifically front-end wafer fabrication, and substrate manufacturing. Direct experience managing and negotiating with Tier 1 semiconductor foundries is highly valued.
  • 5+years Analytical & Modeling Skills: Ability to analyze complex datasets, model supply/demand scenarios, and build long-range capacity plans. Proficiency in advanced Excel, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), and planning systems is required.
