  • The Unified Reconciliation and Settlement team has been chartered to provide a enterprise payment recon platform for Walmart/Sam’s club and its multitude of ecosystems.
  • The first milestone tasked for this team is to move payment reconciliation processing workloads for US stores and clubs from mainframe-based system to a cloud native solution.
  • Payment reconciliation is arguably one of the most critical functions for any retailer, more so for Walmart considering its size and customer focus. We wanted to close the ledger books on time without any manual intervention and with high financial accuracy.
  • Being a unified Recon and Settlement solution, it will also be handling ecommerce and omni channel Recon workloads across Walmart and its subsidiaries.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience : At least 8+ years of relevant industry experience in building highly available systems.

  • AI/ML Integration : Hands-on experience designing and deploying scalable AI/ML solutions integrated with LLM in production environments.

  • Technical Proficiency :

    • Languages : Proficiency in Python and familiarity with other languages such as Java or Scala.

    • AI/ML Frameworks : Expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, Transformers, LangChain, LangGraph, etc.

    • LLM Techniques : Experience with techniques such as prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and fine-tuning.

  • Cloud Expertise :

    • Platforms : Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and deployments, particularly with Azure offerings.

    • Services : Experience with cloud storage, cloud security, and cloud migration.

  • MLOps Tools :

    • Containerization and Orchestration : Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.

    • Infrastructure as Code : Experience with Terraform and AWS CDK.

    • CI/CD Workflows : Familiarity with MLflow for deployment, monitoring, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows.

  • Frontend Technologies : Familiarity with front-end technologies like ReactJS.

  • Data Engineering : Knowledge of big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and data pipelines.

  • APIs and Microservices : Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.

  • DevOps : Understanding of DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Soft Skills : Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in software delivery within a related industry managing aggressive schedules and significant business impact.

  • Experienced in system/platform design concepts, architecture, UX design, services, APIs, and technologies.

  • Build positive relationships and collaborate with product managers to understand target personas and business process needs, which you will then translate into features and user stories that engineers will leverage to iterate products quickly.

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a love for data and solving complex problems.

  • Expertise in change & risk management methodologies, project management tools, techniques, project tracking tools, dashboards, and reports

  • Strong communicator in both verbal and written forms and are equally adept in communicating upwards, outwards, and downward.
