This role is perfect for anyone passionate about the intersection between technology and production processes. As a Manufacturing Engineer, your long-term goal is to discover ways to optimize quality and maximize efficiency in manufacturing, while maintaining industry standards and cost-effectiveness. Your day-to-day activities will include gathering input from stakeholders and engineers to develop manufacturing processes that are both attainable and efficient.
This role will give you the opportunity to use a combination of creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge to identify and solve for production issues. You'll also have the chance to assist and collaborate with other engineering groups as well as various members of the operations team to improve process flows and production operations.
You will need to be able to create project plans that include concept and design phases, materials selection, schematic development, prototyping, pilot and full-scale implementation, and documentation. Additionally, you should be able to use failure analysis and product design principles to develop robust manufacturing processes.
Expecting project ambiguity, you should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and creating consensus with technical and non-technical teams. You'll use your accuracy and attention to detail to ensure product consistency and quality. You will also be responsible for cost estimating and forecasting.
