What you’ll accomplish

• Lead design strategy, architecture, and vision for Shipping buyer and seller experiences, enabling global scalability and customer growth.

• Drive end-to-end product design across customer experiences.

• Collaborate with senior design, product, engineering, product marketing, content, and research leadership to align roadmaps, optimize workflows, and deliver scalable solutions that benefit sellers and buyers.

• Develop sophisticated design prototypes and narratives that bring innovative concepts to life for testing and refinement in partnership with Research and Content teams.

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years of professional product design experience, e-commerce or marketplace experience is a plus.

• Advanced mastery of Figma, prototyping tools, and interactive design methods, proven through a robust portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design, strategy, and delivery of complex solutions across web and native platforms.

• Experience delivering compelling executive-level presentations, storytelling, and clear design narratives to influence senior leaders and drive alignment.

• Demonstrated ability to design comprehensive, scalable design systems and drive cross-domain alignment.

• Advanced proficiency in journey mapping, service design documentation, and workshop facilitation.

This role focuses on hands-on design work, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration to improve the end-to-end live seller journey. You will be challenged to balance creativity and usability, using advanced design and prototyping tools, while also building strong partnerships with key stakeholders across disciplines.

What You'll Accomplish

• Contribute to product design and UX for eBay Live seller experiences, focusing on onboarding, event setup, inventory, and post-sale workflows.

• Apply advanced mastery of Figma and prototyping tools to create, iterate, and hand off interactive design assets and user flows.

• Help develop and refine design concepts based on research and feedback from sellers, in close partnership with content and research peers.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of professional product design experience, ideally in ecommerce, live commerce, marketplace, or related seller-facing environments.

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

You’ll report directly into the Senior Manager of eBay Live and work closely with cross-functional partners in design, product, engineering, research, and marketing. You will be a primary driver advancing eBay Live to industry leadership by deeply understanding seller pain points, innovating on design solutions, and integrating Live workflows into core selling experiences.

What you will accomplish

• Create world-class, user-centered designs and experiences which solve for customer needs, deliver on business requirements, account for technical feasibility and leverage future trends

• Use your understanding of user-centered design processes and ability to create prototypes and high quality design work to drive product design for end-to-end projects in agile, cross-functional teams

• Operate as a "Co-Founder" within the cross-functional product team by identifying and validating user problems, producing inventive and thoughtful solutions for users and the business, and shipping meaningful product updates that deliver tangible results

• Unite multiple AI-related projects into a cohesive portfolio and end-to-end experience for our customers via collaboration with our design system teams, engineers and multiple product management teams

• Deliver tested solutions via participation in user research, product discovery & testing

• 8+ years of professional experience in product design as an IC design lead working across large cross-domain and cross-functional projects which define an end-to-end customer experience

• An outstanding portfolio which demonstrates a broad range of design and product strategy across web-based and native applications and consumer experiences

• Experience using design thinking methodologies & UCD processes to drive collaboration across agile, cross-functional teams in a large organization

• Hands-on experience driving product and concept development, including generative research, storyboarding, user-journey mapping, competitive analysis, prototyping, qualitative interviews and quantitative testing

• Ability to synthesize ambiguity, bringing industry trends, research, team insights, business priorities, and partner feedback into actionable UX strategy and design execution

• Experience designing AI interfaces or other experience designing with emerging technologies
