What you’ll do

As Security Architect (f/m/d) you will work in the Sustainability Engineering unit building applications to help companies running their business in a more sustainable way and through that contributing to a more sustainable world for everyone.

As Security Architect (f/m/d) you will:

• Work as key contact for security questions within Sustainability Engineering overlooking all applications in terms of security standards
• Be the single point of contact to the corresponding BISO for Sustainability
• Guide product development teams due to critical security cases
• Support development teams in data privacy related topics
• Contribute to key development topics either within a development team or as part of a cross functional development team

The work will be hands-on including development tasks and setting up systems/tenants. It will also require thorough documentation as well as alignment with central groups, especially around security.

What you bring

• Profound experience in software engineering and a track record of business application data model design and architecture work
• You should be familiar with ABAP, Java or JavaScript, with SAP Security product standards and the HANA database
• A strong network, especially in the security community would be beneficial
• Fluent in spoken and written English, German would be a plus

The Sustainability Engineering unit consists of globally distributed development teams working on various applications. Based in Walldorf, you will work with teams in Potsdam, Brno, Munich, Markdorf, Sofia, Shanghai and Bangalore. The whole unit is very diverse in all dimensions, including the technical skills spanning from classical ABAP based applications to very young cloud-native products.

• Analytical Acumen:Demonstrated strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Attention to Detail:High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy in reporting and compliance.
• Technical Proficiency:Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced skills in Excel and other data analysis tools.

As part of the product management team for “SAP Market Communication for Utilities” and corresponding S/4HANA Utilities Add-On products, you will be responsible for the analysis of new or changed regulatory requirements, specifically in the area of switching processes. Your daily work includes initial analysis, identification of product related change needs and ultimately definition of new or changed product scope. In addition, you will be responsible to support the Product Management Lead in several cross-tasks, including stakeholder management, driving product strategy across different internal divisions, as well as strategic initiatives.You will work closely with a team of product managers specialized in different areas of the regulatory product scope, ensuring end-to-end consistency in the implementation of new regulatory requirements and a successful delivery of high-quality solutions for German Utilities.
