What you’ll do:

  • Work with the Sales team as the technical subject matter expert for BigID’s platform during customer calls and presentations
  • Use market and technical knowledge to consult on best practices and offer constructive direction for solution architecture and design
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products, and services
  • Drive customer success with real-world knowledge and recommendations
  • Work with the post-sales teams to ensure every customer realizes the value of the BigID Platform and continues to contribute to the success of BigID customers
  • Work with Product Management to capture and articulate customer and prospect product enhancement feedback

What you’ll bring:

  • Excellent customer-facing communication and organization skills
  • Good troubleshooting abilities and a methodical approach
  • Ability to describe complex technical concepts to diverse audiences: executives, business stakeholders, and technology practitioners
  • Passion for demonstrating solutions and ability to provide technical input during the sales process
  • Broad understanding of enterprise data architecture, privacy, and security technologies
  • Ability to plan, execute and close out a Proof of Concept with minimal assistance and oversight
  • Desire to share knowledge through excellent documentation creation and RFI/RFP responses
  • Some prior experience with one or more of the following: RDBMS systems, no-SQL data stores (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB), Hadoop technologies (such HDFS, Hive, HBase), cloud technologies (AWS EMR, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, Azure file and blob storage, etc.)
  • Prior experience with Identity and Access Management or Data Loss Prevention tools is a plus
  • Experience with Linux or container frameworks (such as Docker) is a strong plus
  • Minimum of 3 years in a pre-sales engineering or consulting role within a multinational environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. (Master’s degree a plus)

Paid Parental Leave

The annual base salary range is $145,000 - $175,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with client stakeholders to triage and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Evaluate implementation results, deploy solution components and workarounds, and participate in the product configuration efforts in order to meet clients’ specific requirements
  • Engage with multi-discipline internal and client teams to ensure successful resolutions within customers’ environments
  • Share knowledge of relevant technical areas at an applicable level of depth and detail within the Support organization
  • Document and report product issues, enhancement requests raised in the field, and possible implementation flow improvements
  • Participate in the team on-call rotation during weekends or holidays, a few times per year

What you’ll bring:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in information technology in a customer-facing role – preferably involved in product implementation and hands-on technical activities within enterprise corporate environments
  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, or other related technical disciplines. A graduate degree in a technical or business discipline is a strong plus. (Extensive professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.)
  • Meaningful experience with installation, configuration and management of Linux-based Operating Systems, including basic shell proficiency (bash, sh, ksh, tcsk, etc.), experience with package management systems (apt/dpkg, yum/rpm, etc.), file archiving tools (tar, gz, zip, bz2), remote access and file transfer protocols (SSH, SCP, SFTP/FTP), file sharing technology (NFS, CIFS/SMB), and authentication frameworks (LDAP, Kerberos)
  • Basic experience with some RDBMS, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, IBM DB2, etc.
  • Professional experience in Docker and Kubernetes deployments - an advantage
  • Troubleshooting complex software issues, working from written and oral instructions as described by the technical support organization, sales organization, account managers and customers themselves.

What you’ll do:

  • Customer Retention & Growth
    • Builds and fosters trusted relationships with leaders from our customers’ engineering and data security, privacy, and governance organizations
    • Excellent communication skills. Ability to set expectations and communicate goals with customers at various levels, from a developer to a CIO
    • Mobilizing internal and external resources to remove technical barriers to adoption and growth
    • Provide technical consultation and guidance to clients, ensuring they are leveraging the full value of the company’s products and services
  • Technical Advisory
    • Identify and assist in resolving technical challenges that customers are facing, ensuring that issues are addressed quickly and efficiently.
    • Partner with Customer Success Managers and serve as their technical counterpart on a defined book of business; orchestrating a near, mid, and long-term vision and strategy for the overall customer’s adoption and realization of value across all aspects of the BigID product offering
    • Prepares technical presentations and trainings on products and solutions for the Customer Success Team; Participating in content creation for both internal and external enablement of staff and customers
    • Provides product demonstrations and technical consultation to showcase how the BigID product can meet client needs
    • Review customer architectures and configurations to ensure they are enhancing security posture and capturing ROI as BigID releases new features and functionality
    • Map product capabilities to customer business processes and compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA, PCI, HIPPA etc)
    • Assist with competitive analysis between BigID and other product vendors in the market
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Fosters a culture of customer-centricity and continuous improvement
    • Collaborates with internal teams (Product team, engineering, and sales) to ensure seamless communication and delivery of solutions to clients

What you’ll bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in technical account management, technical consulting, solution architecture or a similar technical client-facing role
  • Strong technical knowledge across relevant technologies, systems, or platforms, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business solutions
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders at various organizational levels with proven competency in CIO, CPO, CDO, and CISO level conversations
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams to drive client success and retention
  • Data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze metrics and use insights to improve customer engagement and outcomes

  • Good troubleshooting abilities and a methodical approach
  • Ability to describe complex technical concepts to diverse audiences: executives, business stakeholders, and technology practitioners
  • Passion for demonstrating solutions and ability to provide technical input during the sales process
  • Broad understanding of enterprise data architecture, privacy, and security technologies
  • Ability to plan, execute and close out a Proof of Concept with minimal assistance and oversight
  • Desire to share knowledge through excellent documentation creation and RFI/RFP responses
  • Some prior experience with one or more of the following: RDBMS systems, no-SQL data stores (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB), Hadoop technologies (such HDFS, Hive, HBase), cloud technologies (AWS EMR, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, Azure file and blob storage, etc.)
  • Prior experience with Identity and Access Management or Data Loss Prevention tools is a plus
  • Experience with Linux or container frameworks (such as Docker) is a strong plus
  • Minimum of 3 years in a pre-sales engineering or consulting role within a multinational environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. (Master’s degree a plus)

The annual base salary range is $145,000 - $175,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Salary is just one component of our Compensation Philosophy. Variable/Bonus Compensation & Equity Incentives align with individual and company performance.
