Responsibilities:

The ETF Operations Sr Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department, driving a variety of ETF Activities activities in coordination with the client. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of activities associated with the ETF Order life cycle.

  • Develop and enforce a robust control environment
  • Coordinate and manage with Strategic Implementations operational change requests on behalf of client
  • Manage ETF project implementations ranging in complexity from moderate to complex
  • Partner with Strategic Implementations to define requirements to onboard new funds and new clients
  • Develop management reporting framework, metrics for the business.
  • Determine key objectives, milestones, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects
  • Confer with clients on solution, offer beneficial alternatives, and act as trusted advisor
  • Work with authorized participants on settlements, collateral and P&L to ensure Citi is providing excellent service
  • Develop, review and communicate project plan(s) to peers and senior management
  • Engage with project staff and stakeholders to outline project plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project stakeholders to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed standards
  • Track, follow up and support all requests through to completion, advising all involved parties when a request is complete.
  • Comply with all audit, regulatory and compliance directives.
  • Proactively identify/manage operational risk
  • Implement best practice processes and controls to achieve high quality output and exceptional service delivery
  • Drive partnership with other functional areas
  • Drive leadership and ownership in seeking solutions when crisis situations arise
  • Facilitate the completion of customer surveys and post implementation reviews with business partners.
  • Continuously seek to identify opportunities for efficiency and control improvements in the process, and implement such improvements whenever possible.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent project management experience
  • Minimum 10 years business experience in Financial Services
  • Minimum 5 years of ETF Operations experience
  • Knowledge of Custody and Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and initiative with ability to take charge and accomplish tasks in a fast paced, large global firm
  • Demonstrated industry knowledge; ETF settlement and CNS
  • Ability to establish and build trust with client and senior leadership throughout the business
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with multiple audiences in mind
  • Ability to organize people and assign tasks to achieve the highest productivity

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
