What a typical day looks like:
- Drive the definition of sales processes guidelines, build consensus, and develop adoption.
- Implement tools and processes for the sales organization that focuses on improving efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
- Oversee quotations team and work closely with Outside Sales team as needed.
- Develop and execute strategy to develop a healthy pipeline for achieving annual sales goals.
- Prospect and identify new business opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally with Outside Sales team to develop effective sell-in strategies. Contribute to develop and implement sales programs and priorities.
- Create reports and drive implementation of CRM Tools (Salesforce and Vision).
- Deliver timely, accurate and actionable business information to alldirector’s/managementand sales on weekly/monthly basis.
- Establish and maintain sales quote processes and procedures.
- Manage and mentor Applications Engineers and other team members.
- Keep up with market quote lead times and develop and improve procedures to maintain industry competitive lead times.
- Manage manufacturers representative commissions and payment reports.
- Manage Sales Director monthly commission reports.
- Develop and promote a team culture environment.
- Outline department policies/procedures.
The experience we are looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field of equivalent experience.
- Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of sales experience or other relevant experience.
- A Master's or MBA degree is preferred.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Demonstrates mastery of functional knowledge in relation to other functions and a complete comprehension of the function and those of related businesses.
